Ingredients:
- 2 racks of baby back ribs or St. Louis-style ribs
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
For the Dry Rub:
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for spice)
For the BBQ Sauce:
- 1 cup barbecue sauce (your favorite brand or homemade)
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Instructions:
- Prepare the Ribs:
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better tenderness.
- Pat the ribs dry with paper towels and rub them with olive oil.
- Apply the Dry Rub:
- In a small bowl, mix all the dry rub ingredients.
- Generously coat both sides of the ribs with the seasoning mix.
- Wrap and Bake:
- Wrap each rack of ribs tightly in aluminum foil.
- Place them on a baking sheet, meat side up, and bake for 2.5 to 3 hours until tender.
- Prepare the BBQ Sauce:
- In a small saucepan, combine the barbecue sauce, honey, apple cider vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Simmer for 5 minutes over low heat, stirring occasionally.
- Glaze and Broil:
- Remove the ribs from the oven and carefully unwrap them.
- Brush a generous layer of BBQ sauce over the ribs.
- Set your oven to broil and cook the ribs for 5-7 minutes, until caramelized and slightly charred.
- Serve:
- Let the ribs rest for 5 minutes, then slice and serve with extra BBQ sauce.
