Grandma’s Timeless Peach Pudding

I thought this recipe was lost forever, but luckily, I found it—and it’s even more delicious than I remember!

Ingredients:

Peach Pudding Base:
  • 5 cups diced peaches (peeled, fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp sea salt
Luscious Topping:
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 cups water
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the diced peaches, flour, sugar, milk, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Stir until well incorporated.
  3. For the topping, melt the butter in a saucepan. Add the brown sugar, granulated sugar, and water, then bring to a gentle boil until the sugar dissolves completely.
  4. Pour the peach mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  5. Carefully pour the topping mixture over the peaches without stirring.
  6. Bake for about 50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbling.
  7. Allow it to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, or a dollop of Cool Whip for an extra treat.

This Southern-style peach pudding is a nostalgic delight, bringing back the flavors of childhood and warm summer days!
