Cheesy Herb Bread Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 1/4 cups buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven – Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan and set it aside.
  2. Prepare Dry Ingredients – In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, garlic powder, oregano, and thyme.
  3. Incorporate Cheeses – Add the cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan to the dry mixture, stirring to distribute them evenly.
  4. Mix Wet Ingredients – In a separate bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, melted butter, and eggs until smooth.
  5. Make the Batter – Gently mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  6. Transfer to Pan – Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, spreading it evenly.
  7. Bake – Place the pan in the oven and bake for 45–50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool & Serve – Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!

Notes:

  • Feel free to use different cheeses based on your preference.
  • This bread makes a great side for soups, salads, or as a snack on its own.
