Rice Krispie Chocolate Chip Cookies

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream Butter & Sugars: In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add Wet Ingredients: Mix in the eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract and beat until well combined.
  4. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Combine Wet & Dry: Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in Rice Krispies & Chocolate Chips: Gently stir in the Rice Krispies and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Shape & Bake: Drop tablespoon-sized scoops of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake: Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  9. Cool & Enjoy: Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
