Ingredients:
1 small head of cabbage, chopped
1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/2 lb smoked sausage, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
Salt and pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the ingredients:
Chop the cabbage, slice the smoked sausage, and mince the garlic. Peel and devein the shrimp if not done already.
2. Cook the sausage:
Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced smoked sausage and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
3. Cook the shrimp:
In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil. Add the shrimp and season with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side or until pink and fully cooked. Remove the shrimp and set aside with the sausage.
4. Cook the cabbage:
Add the chopped cabbage and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender and slightly caramelized, about 8-10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
5. Combine and serve:
Return the cooked sausage and shrimp to the skillet. Stir everything together until well combined and heated through, about 2 minutes.
6. Garnish and enjoy:
Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve warm as a hearty main dish or a flavorful side.
Tip: Serve with rice or crusty bread for a more filling meal!
