A LEMON CAKE TO DIE FOR

 

Ingredients:

 

For the Cake:

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 small box instant lemon pudding mix
  • ¾ cup oil
  • ¾ cup water
  • 4 eggs, beaten

For the Glaze:

  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • ⅓ cup lemon juice

Instructions:

 

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.

2. In a mixing bowl, combine the beaten eggs, cake mix, lemon pudding mix, oil, and water. Stir until smooth and well blended.

3. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

4. While the cake is baking, prepare the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar, melted butter, lemon juice, and water until smooth.

5. Once the cake is done, remove it from the oven and poke holes all over the surface using the handle of a wooden spoon.

6. Pour the glaze evenly over the warm cake, allowing it to soak in.

7. Let the cake cool before slicing.
