I have been making these for a long time, and people always go crazy for them. They look like a special snack made at home

 

Ingredients:

For the Rice Krispies layer:

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 packet (10 ounces) mini marshmallows
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal

For the banana pudding layer:

  • 1 package (3.4 ounces) instant banana pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 cup sliced bananas

Optional topping:

  • Whipped cream

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Rice Krispies layer (5 minutes):

  • In a large pot, melt the unsalted butter over low heat.
  • Add the mini marshmallows and stir continuously until fully melted and smooth.
  • Remove the pot from heat and mix in the Rice Krispies cereal.
  • Stir until the cereal is fully coated with the marshmallow mixture.
  • Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or oil.
  • Spread the Rice Krispies mixture evenly in the dish, pressing it down using a spatula or wax paper.
  • Let the layer cool and harden completely at room temperature.

2. Make the banana pudding layer (3 minutes):

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk the instant banana pudding mix with cold milk for about 2 minutes until it thickens.
  • Gently fold in the sliced bananas.

3. Assemble and chill (2 hours):

  • Once the Rice Krispies layer has hardened, spread the banana pudding evenly on top.
  • Cover the baking dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (preferably 2 hours) until the pudding is firm.

4. Serve and enjoy!

  • Cut into squares before serving.
  • Optionally, top each piece with a dollop of whipped cream.
