Italian Stromboli Recipe

Ingredients:

1 tube Pillsbury pizza crust

8 slices deli ham

10 slices Genoa salami

12 slices sandwich pepperoni

8 slices provolone or mozzarella cheese (shredded cheese works too)

2 tablespoons butter

2 minced garlic cloves

2 teaspoons chopped parsley

3 tablespoons Parmesan cheese

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven as directed on the pizza dough packaging.

2. In a small bowl, melt the butter and mix in the minced garlic, chopped parsley, and Parmesan cheese. Set aside.

3. Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.

4. Roll out the pizza dough to nearly the size of your baking sheet.

5. Layer the deli meats: start with the ham, followed by the salami, and then the pepperoni.

6. Add the cheese on top of the meats as the final layer.

7. Roll the dough tightly from the long side, sealing the seam well. Pinch and fold the ends under to ensure everything is enclosed.

8. Use a serrated knife to score the top of the Stromboli a few times, allowing steam to escape while baking.

9. Brush the garlic butter mixture generously over the top.

10. Bake according to the instructions on your pizza dough tube. The cooking time will be similar to that for a regular pizza, but you won’t need to par-bake the crust.

Optional Tip: While traditional Stromboli often includes red sauce inside, this recipe leaves it out for dipping on the side. Feel free to add sauce inside if you prefer!
