Ingredients
- ½ cup melted butter
- 1 cup self-rising flour
- 1½ cups sugar (divided: 1 cup for batter, ½ cup for berries)
- 1 cup milk
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups fresh or frozen blackberries

- Preheat Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the Batter:
- Pour the melted butter into a 9Ă—9-inch baking dish or similarly sized oven-safe dish.
- In a bowl, whisk together the self-rising flour, 1 cup of sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
- Pour the batter evenly over the melted butter—do not stir.
- Add the Blackberries:
- Toss blackberries with the remaining ½ cup sugar.
- Spoon the sugared blackberries evenly over the batter—again, do not stir.
- Bake:
- Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cobbler is set in the center.
