Classic Slow Cooker Pot Roast

 

Ingredients:

  • 3 lbs beef chuck roast
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 carrots, sliced
  • 4 potatoes, quartered or sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Generously season the beef chuck roast with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. Arrange the chopped onion, sliced carrots, and quartered potatoes in the base of the slow cooker.
  3. Place the seasoned beef on top of the vegetables.
  4. Pour the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce evenly over the roast.
  5. Cover and cook on low for about 8 hours, or until the meat becomes tender and easily shreds.
  6. Once done, serve the pot roast alongside the cooked vegetables, topped with its rich gravy.
