Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped pecans
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Mix in the buttermilk until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
- Fold in the chopped pecans.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan for about 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
