Ingredients:
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tbsp minced onion
- 1 tbsp beef base
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 3 slices white bread
- 2 lbs lean ground beef
- 1 (10.75 oz) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 (10.75 oz) can water
- 1 dash Worcestershire sauce
Instructions:
Step 1: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, minced onion, beef base, and black pepper. Tear the bread into chunks and add them to the mixture, letting them soak for a few moments. Add the ground beef and combine well. Shape the mixture into 8 evenly sized patties.
Step 2: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties until browned and fully cooked, about 8 minutes per side. Once done, remove them from the skillet and set aside.
Step 3: Drain any excess grease from the skillet. In the same pan, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, water, and Worcestershire sauce until smooth. Return the cooked patties to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them. Bring to a boil, then lower the heat and let it simmer for about 20 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken and the flavors to blend.
Serve hot with mashed potatoes, rice, or your favorite side dish!
