Ingredients:

  • Sweet potatoes – 4 medium (about 2 lbs)
  • Olive oil – 2 tbsp (or preferred cooking oil)
  • Salt – 1 tsp
  • Black pepper – ½ tsp
  • Garlic powder – ½ tsp (optional)
  • Paprika – ½ tsp (optional)
  • Fresh herbs (like thyme or rosemary) – 1-2 sprigs (optional)

Optional Additions:

  • Cinnamon – Adds warmth and sweetness.
  • Chili powder or cayenne – For a spicy twist.
  • Honey or maple syrup – Enhances natural sweetness.
  • Lemon zest – Brightens up the flavor.
  • Parmesan cheese – Brings a rich, umami taste.
  • Chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts) – For crunch and depth.

Tips for Perfect Roasting:

  1. Cut Evenly – Uniform pieces ensure even cooking.
  2. Preheat the Oven – Set it to 400°F (200°C) before roasting.
  3. Spread in a Single Layer – Prevents steaming and ensures crisp edges.
  4. Flip Halfway – Helps achieve even browning.
  5. Check Doneness – A fork should slide in easily.

Instructions:
