6 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled

1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 cup pecans, finely chopped

Preparation

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, chives, garlic powder, and black pepper.

2. Mix well until the ingredients are fully blended and the texture is smooth.

3. Using your hands, form the cheese mixture into small, bite-sized balls.

4. Roll each cheese ball in the chopped pecans, coating them evenly.

5. Place the coated cheese balls on a plate or tray.

6. Refrigerate for at least an hour before serving to allow them to firm up.

Variations & Tips

For spice, add chopped jalapeños or a sprinkle of cayenne pepper.

Use crushed walnuts or sunflower seeds instead of pecans for coating.

Swap chives with scallions or add dill for a different flavor profile.

For an extra kick, mix a dash of hot sauce into the cheese blend.

These cheese balls can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to two days.

Enjoy your delicious party appetizer!
