Lemon Butter Fish Fillet

 

Ingredients:

For the Fish:

  • 4 white fish fillets (such as cod, tilapia, or haddock)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

For the Lemon Butter Sauce:

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Fish:

    • Pat the fish fillets dry with a paper towel.
    • Rub them with olive oil, then season with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  2. Cook the Fish:

    • Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
    • Add a little more olive oil if needed and cook the fillets for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until they are golden brown and flake easily with a fork.
    • Remove the fish from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Make the Lemon Butter Sauce:

    • In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium-low heat.
    • Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
    • Stir in the lemon juice, lemon zest, and red pepper flakes (if using).
    • Let the sauce simmer for another minute.
  4. Combine and Serve:

    • Return the fish fillets to the skillet and spoon the lemon butter sauce over them.
    • Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve immediately with rice, vegetables, or a fresh salad.
