Grandma’s Old-Fashioned Bread Pudding with Vanilla Sauce

*Ingredients:

°300g leftover country bread

°1 liter of milk

°3 eggs

°150g sugar

°100 g raisins

°1 tablespoon of rum

°1 sachet of vanilla

°The juice of 2 oranges.

*Preparation

Soak bread in enough milk for 1/2 hour or more if bread is very dry; add a little milk if necessary

Mix the softened bread (or crush it with a fork to taste). Add the 3 eggs 150 g of sugar then the drained grapes the flavor: rum vanilla orange. Add the rest of the milk stirring gradually making sure that the batter is soft neither too thick nor too runny. All the milk is not necessarily necessary!

Pour the dough into a buttered mold and bake in the oven for 45/50 min at 190°

Leave to cool before tasting.
