Cheese Potato Bread in a Frying Pan

Ingredients:

2 medium potatoes, peeled, boiled, and mashed

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite mix)

1/4 cup milk or water

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper (optional)

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1-2 tablespoons butter (for frying)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Potatoes

Boil the potatoes until tender, then mash them until smooth. Allow them to cool slightly.

2. Mix the Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and black pepper, if using.

3. Combine with Potatoes

Add the mashed potatoes to the dry mixture. Mix thoroughly until a dough forms.

4. Incorporate the Cheese

Fold in the shredded cheese. Gradually add milk or water to create a smooth, pliable dough.

5. Shape the Bread

Divide the dough into 3-4 portions. Roll each portion into a ball and flatten into a patty.

6. Cook in a Skillet

Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat. Place the patties in the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy.

7. Serve and Enjoy

Once cooked, serve the cheese potato bread warm. They’re delicious on their own or paired with ketchup, sour cream, or your favorite dip.

This easy-to-make recipe can be customized with herbs and spices to match your preferences. Enjoy the warm, cheesy goodness!
