Broccoli Cheese Patties

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 large head of broccoli, cut into small florets
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Olive oil, for frying

Instructions:

  1. Steam the broccoli florets until soft, about 5–7 minutes. Once cooled slightly, chop them into small pieces.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the broccoli, cheddar cheese, eggs, flour, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, and green onions. Season with salt and pepper. Mix everything thoroughly until combined.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Take about 2 tablespoons of the mixture and shape it into a small patty. Continue forming patties with the rest of the mixture.
  5. Fry the patties in the hot skillet for 3–4 minutes per side, or until golden and crispy. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to remove excess oil.
  6. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce or a side salad.
