Bay Leaf and Clove Tea Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3–4 dried bay leaves
  • 4–5 whole cloves
  • 2 cups of water
  • (Optional: a slice of fresh ginger or a small piece of cinnamon stick for extra flavor)
  • Honey or lemon to taste (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Boil the water: Pour 2 cups of water into a pot and bring it to a boil.
  2. Add spices: Add the bay leaves and cloves (and ginger/cinnamon if using) to the boiling water.
  3. Simmer: Let it simmer for about 5–7 minutes to extract the flavors and nutrients.
  4. Strain: Remove from heat and strain the tea into a cup.
  5. Serve: Add honey or lemon if desired and enjoy warm.
