Basic Crepe Recipe

Ingredients

??- 1 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup water
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons melted butter

Preparation

  1. Mix the Batter:
    – In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and the eggs.
    – Gradually add in the milk and water, stirring to combine.
    – Add the salt and butter; beat until smooth.
  2. Heat a Skillet:
    – Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium-high heat.
    – Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each crepe.
    – Tilt the pan with a circular motion so that the batter coats the surface evenly.
  3. Cook the Crepes:
    – Cook the crepe for about 2 minutes, until the bottom is light brown.
    – Loosen with a spatula, turn and cook the other side.
  4. Serving:
    – Serve hot with a sprinkle of powdered sugar and fresh berries like strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries.
    – You can also add whipped cream, Nutella, or any other toppings of your choice.

Tips:
– Make sure the batter is smooth without lumps. You can use a blender to ensure smoothness.
– The pan should be hot enough to cook the crepe quickly but not so hot that it burns.
– If the first crepe doesn’t turn out well, don’t worry. It’s common for the first crepe to be a bit off. Adjust the heat as needed and try again.
