Avocado Sushi Cake Recipe

 

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cooked sushi rice
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha (optional, for spice)
  • 1 avocado, diced
  • 6 oz spicy tuna or crab salad
  • 1 small jalapeño, thinly sliced
  • 1 sheet nori, crumbled
  • Spicy mayo and eel sauce (for drizzling)
  • Chopped green onions (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Rice:
    In a bowl, mix the cooked sushi rice with rice vinegar and sriracha to enhance the flavor.
  2. Layer the Sushi Cake:
    • Press half of the seasoned rice into a round or square mold, creating the first layer.
    • Evenly spread the spicy tuna or crab salad over the rice.
    • Add a layer of diced avocado and sprinkle crumbled nori on top.
    • Cover with the remaining sushi rice and press gently to form a firm shape.
  3. Garnish and Serve:
    • Decorate the top with thin slices of jalapeño.
    • Drizzle with spicy mayo and eel sauce for extra flavor.
    • Finish by sprinkling chopped green onions.
  4. Enjoy:
