Ingredients:
- 3–4 dried bay leaves
- 4–5 whole cloves
- 2 cups of water
- (Optional: a slice of fresh ginger or a small piece of cinnamon stick for extra flavor)
- Honey or lemon to taste (optional)
Instructions:
- Boil the water: Pour 2 cups of water into a pot and bring it to a boil.
- Add spices: Add the bay leaves and cloves (and ginger/cinnamon if using) to the boiling water.
- Simmer: Let it simmer for about 5–7 minutes to extract the flavors and nutrients.
- Strain: Remove from heat and strain the tea into a cup.
- Serve: Add honey or lemon if desired and enjoy warm.
