Joe’s Crab Shack Crab Dip Copycat Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise

  • 1/2 cup sour cream

  • 1 cup lump crab meat (fresh or canned, drained)

  • 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 2 green onions, finely sliced (optional garnish)

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional garnish)

  • Tortilla chips, baguette slices, or crackers for serving

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, and sour cream. Stir or use a hand mixer until smooth and creamy.

  3. Add the Old Bay seasoning and garlic powder to the mixture and blend until well combined.

  4. Gently fold in the lump crab meat, Monterey Jack cheese, and cheddar cheese. Be careful not to break up the crab too much — you want nice chunks!

  5. Transfer the mixture into an oven-safe baking dish. Smooth the top with a spatula.

  6. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbly, and the top starts to turn golden.

  7. Remove from the oven and garnish with green onions and fresh parsley if desired.

  8. Serve hot with tortilla chips, toasted baguette slices, or buttery crackers.
