Savory Herb & Cheese Quick Bread

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh thyme
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh rosemary
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup melted unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Mix in the shredded cheese and fresh herbs until evenly coated in flour.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, and eggs.
  5. Add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined—don’t overmix!
  6. Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean and the top is golden.
  8. Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to finish cooling.
